Long story short, if you spend a lot of time typing on a keyboard at work, home or both they really are just that much better. It is rather hard to describe but the feel is just amazing. I would highly recommend doing some research into it. Even if you decide it is not for you they are worth trying at least once.
I personally settled on the Logitech G710+. After doing some research it suited my needs best. Back light and quieter keys really where the deal breakers for me. Though you can buy dampening rings and manually install them I didn't like the idea of tearing off all the keys on my brand new keyboard.
Some cheaper ones that do not have features like back lighting can be purchased for less than $100 and some really cool but hard to find ones like the Ducky Shine 3 have a boat load of bells and whistles.
If you really want to show how "pro" you are you can check out the Das keyboard. No labels on any of the keys.
There is a nice and thorough explanation on of the various switches here

Lenovo buying Motorola
It is official, Lenovo is buying Motorola. Aside from many things that might come from it the biggest thing for me personally is this means that we should finally see Lenovo smartphone in the USA (and soon.) They should now not have to worry about patents and such because they are going to either get or get the ability to use a boat load of them. Remember one of the big reasons why Google bought Moto was for the patents. Being a Lenovo fan this is very exciting.

Nexus 5 by Motorola? [Rumors] 8/11/13
So rumor has it that the nexus 5 will be made by Motorola. This is not surprising considering they now own Moto. I personally am very excited to see what they are going to do because often I have enjoyed Moto hardware but their locked boot loaders and Moto-interface has been terrible. This has been enough that I have owned only 1 Moto android phone in the past and it was because at the time it was the ONLY android phone available for my carrier. There are certain things I really hope for in the nexus 5:
1. AT&T LTE support. (Please?)
2. Perhaps all the software to be released to the AOSP community? I mean Google now owns the manufacturer as well..
3. The usually expected "ooh" and "ahh" features we love from Google.
4. Price. This is where things can get interesting. Motorola has released really good hardware BUT it was never as cheap as the N4. So the question is, can they give me a super phone at a $300-$350 price point?

Xbox and Time Warner. Match made in heaven?
So everyone knows the Xbox one will have the ability to plug your cable box into it. However what about those that have a Xbox 360? Well today Xbox announced they are going to partner with Time Warner cable and allow you to stream "up to 300 of the most popular live TV channels." I know a lot of people have been ditching cable all together for solutions like Netflix and Hulu but for those that still have it this is nice if you want to have it in another room. The real question is if you ditch your cable box all together. The "rental" fee for having a cable box these days runs about $10-$12. Considering they are already taking your first born it might be nice to save a little bit. Do you guys still have cable TV?
